The IT department receives quite many requests for "nice tools".
We already have (too) many various IT tools to help us in daily life, so we appreciate if you would consider using one of the tools we already have.
If you find a new wonder-tool that you would like us to consider, please help us by gathering some information.
For all applications we use, we consider the safety.
How/where is the data stored when in use?
Is the data encrypted in transit?
Where is the data stored at rest, and is it encrypted? We prefer storing our data in Norway.
Which company has created the tool?
What is their reputation? (has there been any data leaks?)
Is the company an American company?
How do they comply with GDPR?
Do they offer Simple Sign-on?
To ease user management, we prefer using simple sign-on connected to our YWAM accounts.
Do they offer 2-factor authentication?
And finally you may consider the monthly cost, and get a signed data processor agreement.
